DevOps as a Service
Release faster, run more reliably and spend less on infrastructure, with CI/CD, infrastructure as code and monitoring set up and run by a founder-led team of senior engineers.
Talk to the foundersWhat you get with Authect's DevOps as a Service
Good DevOps is invisible: code goes from a developer's branch to production safely, quickly and the same way every time, infrastructure scales when traffic does, and problems are caught by an alert before a customer notices. We build that foundation for you, or repair the one you have, so your team can spend its time on the product instead of on releases.
Every engagement is led by a senior engineer, with the founders involved from the first conversation. We cover the whole delivery lifecycle, from pipelines and infrastructure as code to monitoring, security and cost control, and everything we set up lives in your repositories and your cloud accounts from day one.
What we do
What's included in our DevOps services
Take the whole service or just the parts you're missing. Each one is set up as code, documented and handed over so your team understands exactly how it works.
CI/CD pipelines
Automated builds, tests, security scans and deployments for every change, with preview environments for pull requests and one-click rollbacks, so shipping becomes a routine rather than an event.
Infrastructure as code
Monitoring and observability
Containers and Kubernetes

How DevOps as a Service benefits your organisation
- 01
Lower costs without losing performance
Right-sized instances, autoscaling and switched-off idle environments mean you pay for the capacity you use. We show you where the money goes and agree with you whether to optimise for cost, speed or both.
- 02
A better service for your customers
Small, frequent releases with automated tests behind them mean fixes and features reach your customers sooner, and fewer bugs slip through on the way.
- 03
Operations that scale with you
Whether you're a start-up with one service or an established business with dozens, we shape the platform to your size today and make sure it can grow without a rebuild.
- 04
A smoother development lifecycle
From the first commit to production monitoring, every step is automated and visible. Developers get fast feedback, reviewers see exactly what changed and nobody waits on a manual release.
- 05
Faster time to market
When environments can be created in minutes and deployments are a button press, new ideas go from prototype to production in days rather than months.
- 06
Stronger security and stability
Secrets management, least-privilege access, dependency scanning, central logging and proactive alerts, configured from the start and reviewed by a senior engineer, not bolted on after an incident.
How we work
How we bring DevOps into your organisation
Four stages take you from today's release process to an automated, observable platform. You see progress at every stage, and nothing changes in production without a tested way back.
Cloud service models
The cloud service models we work with
Different workloads suit different levels of cloud management. We help you choose the right model for each part of your system, and often combine them in the same product.
| Infrastructure as a service | Platform as a service | Serverless and managed services | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you get | Virtual machines, networks and storage you configure yourself. | A managed runtime for your code, such as container or app platforms, with the servers handled for you. | Functions, managed databases, queues and storage that scale automatically and bill per use. |
| Best for | Lifting existing systems as they are, or workloads with unusual requirements. | Web apps and APIs where your team wants to focus on code, not servers. | Event-driven workloads, spiky traffic and new products that need to start small. |
| Control | Full control over the operating system and software. | Control over your application and its configuration. | Control over your code and settings; the provider runs the rest. |
| Operational effort | Highest: patching, scaling and backups are your responsibility. | Moderate: the platform handles most of the infrastructure. | Lowest: very little to maintain, but design must fit the service's limits. |
| How we help | Hardened images, automated patching and infrastructure as code. | Pipelines, environments and scaling rules set up as code. | Architecture design, cost monitoring and guardrails against runaway usage. |
Technologies
Our DevOps technology expertise
We choose tools for your team and your system, not for our own convenience, and favour widely used open standards so nothing ties you to us.

Cloud platforms
Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, plus simpler hosting platforms such as Vercel when they're the better fit for a product.
Operating systems
Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Debian and Amazon Linux for servers and containers, and Windows Server where your workloads need it.
Containers and orchestration
Docker, Kubernetes on EKS, AKS and GKE, Helm, and lighter options such as AWS ECS, Azure Container Apps and Google Cloud Run.
Infrastructure as code and configuration
Terraform and OpenTofu, AWS CDK, Pulumi and Bicep for infrastructure, and Ansible for configuring servers consistently.
CI/CD
GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps Pipelines and Jenkins, with GitOps delivery through Argo CD or Flux where Kubernetes is involved.
Version control
Git on GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or Azure Repos, with branch protection, required reviews and conventions that keep history readable.
Monitoring and logging
Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, the ELK and Loki stacks, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor and Datadog, with alerts routed to the channels your team already uses.
Databases
PostgreSQL, MySQL and SQL Server, in managed cloud services or self-hosted, with automated backups, replicas and tested restores.
NoSQL and data stores
MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB, Cosmos DB and Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, sized and tuned for the way your application reads and writes.
Message brokers
Kafka, RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS and SNS, and Azure Service Bus, for decoupled services and reliable background processing.
Web servers, proxies and service mesh
NGINX, Traefik, Envoy and cloud load balancers, with Istio or Linkerd when service-to-service traffic needs fine-grained control.
Scripting and secrets
Bash, Python and PowerShell for automation, and HashiCorp Vault or the cloud providers' secret managers for keys and credentials.

Why Authect
Why trust Authect with your delivery pipeline
- 01
Senior engineers, not a ticket queue
A senior engineer designs and runs your platform, and the founders stay involved. When something breaks, you talk to the person who built it.
- 02
Everything as code, everything yours
Pipelines, infrastructure and dashboards live in your repositories and accounts from day one, documented so your team or anyone else can run them without us.
- 03
Safe changes by default
Every change is reviewed, tested and reversible. We'd rather add one more check than explain an outage, and we design rollbacks before we need them.

FAQs
DevOps as a Service FAQs
What is DevOps as a Service?
DevOps as a Service means an outside team sets up and runs the practices and tooling that get your software from code to production: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, monitoring, security checks and cloud management. You get the benefits of a mature DevOps platform without having to hire and build that capability in-house first.
Do we need Kubernetes?
Often not. Kubernetes is powerful but adds operational weight. Many products run better and cheaper on managed container services, app platforms or serverless functions. We recommend Kubernetes when you have many services, specific scaling needs or a team ready to run it, and explain the trade-offs either way.
Can you work with our existing tools and team?
Yes. We start from what you have, improve it where it helps and only replace tools when there's a clear reason. Your engineers review our changes like any other code, and we run hands-on sessions so they can maintain everything themselves.
How quickly will we see results?
Usually within the first weeks. We start with the change that removes the most pain, often an automated pipeline for your main service or alerts for your most critical system, and build out from there in small, visible steps.
What happens if we want to stop working with you?
Nothing breaks. Your pipelines, infrastructure code, dashboards and documentation are in your accounts and repositories, so your team or another provider can carry on from where we left off. We're happy to plan a proper handover.
