How is intelligent document processing different from OCR?
OCR turns an image of text into text; intelligent document processing understands what the text means. Optical character recognition is one component of IDP. IDP adds machine learning and language models that understand layout and meaning, so it copes with documents that never look quite the same twice, then validates the values, for example recalculating totals and matching suppliers, before the data reaches your systems.
How accurate is intelligent document processing?
